Lost in the world of my own imagination
Lose myself in feeling different
Change from what I am to what I dream
Lands for monsters and chains and magic
Learning to fly in a sky of my own making
One paw in front of the other
Flap my wings and travel in my universe

Ocean of emotions
Love is the waves
Crashing down around
Tide comes in
Dip your feet
Current sweeps you away
Tide comes back in
Riptide pulls you under
Follow the flow
Head under water
Try to breathe
Lungs filled liquefied
Tears fall to fill the sea

Chasing Rainbows

I’ve chased a thousand rainbows
Flags painted on my face
Pot of gold in sight
Looking to the stars
Answers I find the constellation in my heart
Listen to the rhythm to find my beat
Paint the room multicolour
Dance in the land of flowers
The wind guiding my feet
Fly to the moon
Talk to the man as she looks down on us
Drink tea with a rabbit
Watch fairies nurse buds to life
Toe to toe with life
Shake hands and lead the way.

You push me into the dirt
I fall over your words
Make me bleed with your greed
Break me, bruise me
Did you forget I bite back?

Make me the villain
I’ll be your nightmare
Spread the rumours
I’ll listen without a care

Scars on my heart with the word why?
Simple enough
But good enough to tear apart

Make me the villain
I’ll play the part willingly
Spread the rumours
I’ll write them down

Become my material
Watch as I burn around you
Paint me as the picture of innocence
Pure is my name but I am not.
